The original UK tour began on the 11th July at the Norwich Playhouse and returned to the Edinburgh Fringe that year. Six transferred to the Arts Theatre in London for 6 weeks before completing the tour in Glasgow on the 30th December 2018 in Glasgow.

The musical reopened at the Arts Theatre in the West End for an initial 16 week run from the 17th January 2019. The original production was directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage with choreography by Carrie-Ann Ingrouille, set design by Emma Bailey, and musical supervision by Joe Beighton. Even though it opened for 16 weeks, the production is still open as is currently booking until January 2021.

Grace Mouat (swing/dance captain) was first to leave the cast in August 2019 to join &Juliet. In October 2019, a cast change took place with 5 more people leaving the show (Millie O'Connell, Aimie Atkinson, Maiya-Quansah Breed, Courtney Stapleton, Shekinah McFarlane). In early January 2020, the cast was hit by illness and injury leaving the show short of performers when 4 lead roles were left without primary performers, and 2 alternates being out of the show. This led to some 'ex-wives' returning and some movement between the UK Tour cast and the West End cast.

In December of 2020, the production re-opened after almost 9 months of being closed. The show moved to the Lyric Theatre so hold a larger audience while still complying to social-distancing requirements. The production also received a series of upgrades including brand new costumes for Boleyn, Seymour, Cleves and Parr, and a brand new set.
